Dr. Amit D. Trivedi did his undergraduate training at BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad and then obtained his Masters in General Surgery from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad in 2003. He trained as a Fellow in Urology at Kidneyline Healthcare for 8 months and Sterling Hospital for 6months; after which he trained as a pre-DNB resident at IKDRC, Ahmedabad for one year. He completed his DNB in Urology from IKDRC, Ahmedabad in 2009.

He served as senior resident and Assistant Professor in Urology at IKDRC from 2009 to 2011. He started his private practice at his hospital, Shailya multispecialty hospital in 2012. He has been attached to V.S Hospital and then Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research as honorary Assistant Professor of Urology since 2015.

As a Urologist, Dr.Trivedi is proficient in the management of a wide variety of surgical disorders of the genitourinary system. These include renal and ureteric stones, prostatic hypertrophy, tumors, obstruction and reconstructive surgeries of the genitourinary system.

Dr. Trivedi has a special interest and aptitude in reconstructive surgeries like Urethroplasty, Vesicovaginal Fistula repair, Bladder Augmentation and many more. He has found his niche in Urethroplasty, a highly complex Reconstructive Procedure for Congenital and Acquired Urethral Anomalies; having successfully performed over 75 such surgeries.

Dr.Trivedi is especially skilled in Laparoscopic Urological Surgeries. These include Pyeloplasty (surgery for obstruction at the junction of kidney and ureter, re-implant (surgery for vesico-ureteric reflux), Nephrectomy to name a few.

He is part of the core kidney transplant team at SAL hospital, Shalby Hospital and CIIMS. He has performed over 270 transplant surgeries with these teams.

Over the past 10 years, Dr.Trivedi has cared for a number of patients at Shailya hospital, of which he has been one of two partners.  He is now embarking on a new chapter with the opening of Shivasya Hospital, to continue his endeavors to provide the Best Urosurgical Care with his trained and committed team. The destination for his patients will be changing, yet the dedication to them continues. Dr.Trivedi and his team forge ahead with “the spirit to care and the power to heal”.
